Second week running
Arsenal are topping the Premiership league table for the second week running. I have been a bit reluctant to right any stories about Arsene Wenger and his crop of young Gunners because i am a bit superstitious. A colleague of mine told me that as long as this site keeps running, Arsenal will keep sliding down the premiership rankings as a strong team to contend with. The superstitious bit of me kicked in and I kept well away from this site but I have been able to overcome that little hurdle and can now beat my chest and shout it from the rooftops that we are back as a force to reckon with. The young Gunners have now come of age.

Will Wenger stay?
Wenger’s chief ally and the man who actually recruited him David Dein has quit the board of Arsenal because of irreconsilable differences with the board of directors. Wenger’s future with the club is now highly uncertain.
David dein who owns shares worth over 14% of Arsenal wants the club to sell out to American investor Kroenke who recently acquired 11% shares in the club and “haul Arsenal into the 21st century”. He feels that selling out will give the Gunners the opportunity to mount a veritable title challenge in future seasons and make them more competitive with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool who have all gone to foreign ownership…………… Read more

Drab draw
The Gunners played the most boring game you will have seen them play in a very long time yesterday at St. James Park against Newcastle and came away with a point after a very drab goalless draw.
Arsenal showed that they were low on confidence after losingĀ three straight matches to Everton and Liverpool away and to West Ham at home but at least they succeeded in eking out a point. Better a point than to play another exciting game of football and losing the match thereby dropping points with Bolton and Everton breathing down our necks hoping to knock us out of our fourth position which assures us of a Champions League slot next season.
