A New Dawn for English Football

16 August 2006

England played its first friendly under new boss Steve Mclaren today and showed their mettle. They beat Greece 4-0 in an international friendly with a team which did not include David Beckham

Beckham was left out of the team by the new coach and he says that it was not for footballing reasons he was left out but for personal reasons. Well I do not know if he watches clips of football matches after the game but if he did he will have realized that his influence in English football has since faded.

Here is wishing the new technical team the ability to carry out its task by fielding the best possible team based on individual strenghts for England

The Lion is Roaring again
