Another disappointing loss
8 April 2007Arsenal’s 100% home record at The Emirates Stadium went up in flames yesterday after a Bobby Zamora injury time goal in the first half put the struggling Hammers ahead. The Gunners game against West Ham epitomised what is wrong at The Arsenal this season.
As usual we played scincillating football which was breathtaking at times but we did not transform our ball possession into goals. Arsenal’s goal drought has been its bane in recent seasons. As The Gunners missed clear scoring opportunity one after the other reminiscent of all the games we have lost this season, I clung on to hope and prayer (belief has since flown out of the window) that we would turn things round but alas this did not happen.
Next season please get us a striker with pedigree Wenger.
