Another replay for Arsenal
17 February 2007Blackburn held Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium in the fifth-round of the FA Cup. From the first kick of the ball it was obvious that Blackburn came to defend and they did this very effectively and stoutly.
Those who are saying that The Gunners are being favoured by referees decisions or refereeing bias should take a critical look at the game and see that Jeremie Aliadiere was brought down unceremoniously by Stephen Warnock and the referee waved play on denying Arsenal a chance from the penalty spot.
This draw forces The Gunners into another replay in an already match crammed season
