Arsenal 2-Manchester United 1

21 January 2007

Arsenal have completed a league double this season by beating the Premiership League leaders both at Old Trafford and at the Emirates Stadium. We showed grit and determination by coming back from behind to win the game by two goals to one. Manchester United had taken the lead with a headed goal by Wayne Rooney assisted by a cross by Patrice Evra eight minutes into the second half.

Goals from Robin van Pierse and our talisman Thierry Henry made certain we came away with the all three points. The Gunners have not lost any game in their new home and are fast making the Emirates stadium a fortress.

We are currently one point behind third placed Liverpool, six points behind second place Chelsea and twelve points behind the league leaders Manchester United. Is it impossible to hope that Arsenal may still win the Premiership title for the 2006/2007 football season???????????? Let us all hope and pray we do.
