Arsene’s transfer funds for Arsenal

12 March 2007

Arsene Wenger has been promised that his budget for this summer transfer will not be affected by our Champions League exit. It is believed that the budget for The Gunners will be in the region of £20million to bolster his squad.

An advancement into the quarter-final stage of the competition would have increased this budget estimate. Large as this budget may be, it is not really adequate to challenge for silverware in the coming season.

With Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool having a tremendous financial backing from their foreign investors, Arsenal need to be able to match them financially to successfully make any impact in the 2007/2008 season.
