The Problem with Arsenal
20 February 2007We have a problem. Our inability to finish off games in which we dominate has been our Achilles Heel. The Gunners are very fond of settling into a comfort zone if they are dominating a team. In our Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven, we should have finished off the Dutch side in the first half of the game when we had them against the ropes.
We failed to do this and have placed ourselves in the very uncomfortable position of a must win at The Emirates while hoping we do not concede a goal.All Ronald Koeman has to do is to instruct his team to play the same way they played in Holland and we are stumped. PSV just have to throw bodies behind the ball for our dream of scoring the perfect goal to disintegrate.
I would like once in a while to see a scrappy Arsenal goal Wenger. Can you please tell your boys that? The chances of one pass going astray in a series of intricate passes is very much a possibility. We have lost 1-0 in Holland. Let us make sure we qualify for the quarter finals of the Champions League. We demand this much
