Will Lehman leave?

13 February 2007

The Gunners eccentric goalkeeper Jens lehman may be leaving the club soon at the expiration of his contract.

The 37 year old German and Arsenal goalkeeper has reached the end of his contract and with Wenger and the management at Arsenal continuing their policy of not offering any player over the age of thirty years old more than one year renewal on a new contract, the German may take it as a cue to end his Arsenal career despite Wengers wish that he remains.

Wenger is already searching for possible replacements for Jens and has looked at Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson who has had an impressive loan spell at Charlton. Wenger has also monitored Scotland international Craig Gordon who plays for Hearts.
