You could almost smell that defeat
28 February 2007Blackburn beat Arsenal 1-0 in the fifth-round of the FA Cup courtesy of a late goal by Benni Macarty to progress to the quarter-finals. You could almost smell that we will lose that game. My sixth sense was tingling.
The way we dominated the game in the first half without actually making our dominance yield any dividends in the form of goals was reminiscent of the way we started our Premiership campaign this season.
We dropped points to Aston Villa, Everton and Manchester City in games we had complete control of. The way out attack is set out presently, we are set to implode. Yes we play a beautiful game but I do miss that low down dirty gritty game where you come out trumps with the points or in front.
